CoQ10 and senescent cell inhibition Increasing evidence indicates that reactive oxygen species are the main factor promoting stem cell aging. Recent studies have demonstrated that coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10) plays a positive role in the inhibition of organ and cellular aging. Fucoidan

Fucoidan Rescues p-Cresol-Induced Cellular Senescence in Mesenchymal Stem Cells and increased proliferation through the regulation of cell cycle-associated proteins (CDK2, CDK4, cyclin D1, and cyclin E). Ref

Fucoidan,  found in brown algae and seaweed displays a variety of biological activities, including anti-senescence, anti-apoptotic, anti-tumor, anti-inflammatory, and anti-oxidative functions. Fucoidan improved endothelial progenitor cells (Stem cells) bioavailability and increased cell numbers and their functional properties. Ref

Fucoidan has been reported to induce the differentiation and mineralization of osteoblastic cells (bone stem cells). Ref

Fucoidan ingestion increases the expression of CXCR4 on human CD34+ cells. Hematopoietic progenitor stem cells (HPC) are an important treatment modality for a variety of neoplastic diseases. Following ingestion of fucoidan, CD34(+) cells increased significantly. Oral fucoidan significantly amplified the CXCR4(+) HPC population. The proportion of CD34(+) cells that expressed CXCR4 increased from 45% to 90% after 12 days. Ref
